I've been using a big dry erase board for over 10 years but the thing is
too big to travel around with. Now with your Flit-Mats, I'm portable!!!

It is hard to understand how we existed before
we had the AoE templates. They speed up play so much. There are no
more arguements about who is affected by a spell and who is not. The
area is there for all to see. Thanks for the great product. - Nick

| Ordered the Area of Effect Template package, and an additional 40'
Radius. I received an e-mail confirming my payment went through the 14th
and got my package Monday the 17th. They even through in some cut outs
to represent large and huge creatures with my order just for leaving a
suggestion. I am very pleased with this product, and the time that it
will save, incredible. Well worth the money. - Thomas E. |
| On a scale of 1 to 10 the flip mats are an 11. You will probably be
getting a lot of orders for them because I've shown them to everyone and
they all want them. Also I have access to a lot more colors from
permanent markers than dry erase. - Kevin V. |
| The Flip-Mat is the greatest thing ever for a portable playing
surface. Versatile with hexes and squares, no worries about someone
ruining it with the wrong marker type, no dealing with an awkward rolled
up mat, it fits right in a backpack with your books. - Clay F. |
| At GenCon Indy 2005 I purchased the entire set [of Area of Effect
Templates] ... they have been handier than pencil and paper at almost
every game. - Darren M. |
| I've been DMing for over 26 years. I saw the spell radius and cone
packages at Origins this year (2005) and had to have them. These are
GREAT! casting a fireball at the party? Slap down a template. Using a
veil caster? Slap down a template or 2. Cone of cold on a diagonal? Slap
the template down and be done with it. no drawing, no wasted time. Place
a template and roll the damage. Done. - Kevin C. |
| ...it's hard to
walk by a gaming table without seeing a template on the gaming mat or at
the ready. Now when an area of effect spell comes up and I'm the
GM I can't help but ask, "Does anyone have one of those nifty wire
templates?" Andrew N. prior to purchase at Origins 2005 |
|
Gaming has reached the point where people call for the wire templates
at the first hint of an area effect spell, even players whose characters
don't cast spell!... No arguments, no trusting the memory for the exact
shape, no lines to be erased when the spell ends in mid-battle. - Dick G |
| ...the spell caster saw the templates. "Oooh!" Then the rules lawyer
saw them. "Hey, those look easier to use." Then the mini guy laughed.
"Pretty cool. Now we don't have to move everything."... The most
surprising use was in a recent fight when we have a discussion about how
high up the are of a spell went. (It made a difference to a flying PC.)
I picked up the template and stood it up. Argument over.
Boom, the PC got fried, but she didn't feel like I cheated to hit. -

| ...fast, visually appealing area of effect visual aide with no inky
mess. This has completely revolutionized the way our group
conducts combats, quick AoE resolution that everyone can see - without
arguments! - Don P |
| Starting out with all new players who were neither familiar with me
as a DM, Living Greyhawk, or even D&D 3.5, it was critical that I make a
positive impression. At our first session, an evil cleric cast
Sound Burst on the party. I pulled out my Steel Sqwire template and
dropped it around the miniatures hit by the spell. From the
reactions of the players, I could tell they were very impressed by the
clarity and ease of use. For an unknown DM, nothing beats making a
good first impression. - Bill H |
| One of the best things about the Steel Sqwire templates is when you
have an effect that centers on the caster that also moves with him.
It has never been easier to move the caster and area of effect at the
same time without have to move any other minis. - Clay F. |
| Prior to using the Steel Sqwire products we used cardboard templates.
Sure they were colorful and pretty, but you couldn't really see what
minis were underneath them... Since we got the Steel Sqwire
products we have no troubles. Players and GMs can actually SEE the minis
that will be affected by their spells and easily make adjustments.
The 20' radius template is invaluable... I wouldn't play without this
stuff now. - Rob M |
|
I regularly attend gaming conventions and Steel Sqwire is a "must
pack item". I've retired all of my plastic templates that require
folks to move their miniatures around and instead I rely solely on Steel
Sqwire. - Douglas L |
